Opihi is the Hawaiian limpet, a small black-shelled mollusk that clings to the wave-battered rocks along the shoreline. Gathering it is one of the most prized and most dangerous traditions in the islands, picked by hand between the sets, and it has long been a delicacy of celebration and ʻohana gatherings.
Ani drew Opihi for her line, a nod to the shoreline and the ocean that shapes island life.
